# Taylor Titan 2026 – Official Rules

## 1. Eligibility & Legal Catches

- All fish **must be caught legally** per current Queensland Department of Primary Industries (DPI) regulations.

- Minimum size: 35 cm total length (TL) – undersized fish disqualified.

- No commercial methods, diving, spearing, or foul-hooking allowed.

- Fish must be caught in publicly accessible Queensland tidal/inshore waters (Moreton Bay, surf beaches, estuaries, etc.).

## 2. Measurement & Photo Requirements

- Measure **total length (TL)**: Straight line from tip of snout (mouth closed) to extreme tip of tail.

- Use a rigid brag mat or measuring board – pinch tail together for max length, round down to nearest whole cm.

- **Mandatory photo requirements** (all in one clear, high-res image or multiple if needed):

- Full side view of fish on brag mat with length clearly marked/visible.
- ESF competition tag/number or unique entry code visible in frame.
- Angler's hand/glove for scale (no extreme cropping).
- Fish alive and in good condition at capture (catch-and-release preferred).

- Blurry, angled, or edited photos = auto disqualification.

## 3. Submission & Judging

- Submit via ESF platform before end date (23:59 AEST, 30 June 2026).

- Longest verified TL wins 1st place; ties broken by earliest submission time.

- Random spot-checks and photo verification by mods.

## 4. Prizes & Fair Play

- 1st: $800 cash + premium tackle pack

- 2nd: $400 + gear

- 3rd: $200 + prize

- Category bonuses (e.g., biggest from beach/boat if tracked).

- Cheating, fake entries, or rule breaches = permanent ban and prize forfeiture.

- All decisions final by ESF admins.
